exploring emotions through coloring
exploring emotions through coloring
When “I don’t know how I feel” is your most honest answer, Color Mending Therapy is for you.
Color Mending Therapy is a playful way to express what you’re feeling without having to find the perfect words.
Just like your body tells you when you're hungry or tired, your body is also constantly sending you emotional signals.
Color Mending Therapy helps you recognize these signals and teaches you how different emotions feel in your body.
By coloring out emotions into different shapes and colors, you’ll learn to read your body's signals clearly.
HOw Color Mending Therapy Works
Choose heavy or light
After grabbing some paper and crayons, decide if you want to color out heavy (mad, sad, overwhelmed, etc) or light (happy, peaceful, confident, etc) emotions.
Color out the feelings
There is no wrong or right way to color - use whatever colors and shapes feel best to represent what you are feeling. Color until it feels complete.
interpret the coloring
Use the Color Chart to help you name the emotions you are feeling, and the Common Shapes Charts to uncover why you’re feeling those emotions.
We believe emotions are like clues that help us understand ourselves better, not rules we have to follow.
