Basic Training
In this on-demand training session, you’ll learn how to guide yourself through Color Mending sessions and interpret your own colorings like a badass.
You’ll also learn:
✅ How emotions are made
✅ The importance of affective interoception

✅ Co-regulation vs. self-regulation
✅ Muscle testing basics

One hour with Chelsea to get individualized feedback to create a sustainable coloring practice for yourself

Professional Certification
In 4 half-day training sessions, you’ll learn how to guide other people (groups and individuals) through Color Mending Therapy sessions.
You’ll also learn:
✅ Best practices for working with individuals
✅ Common blocks and how to navigate them
✅ How to run group coloring sessions
✅ Partnering with mental health professionals
✅ Working with children and caregivers
Included in these live, group training sessions:
Live and pre-recorded coloring sessions with guests (children, teens, and adults)
Practice coloring sessions with your cohort peers
Recordings of each training
Individual sessions with Chelsea to develop your facilitator skills

As a certified Color Mending professional, you’ll receive ongoing support from Chelsea, including access to a private community with all certified practitioners, quarterly consultation calls, and early access to advanced trainings and tool updates.

After becoming certified in trauma therapy, I saw the problem: People relied on others to decode their emotions.
Most tools require perfect words or force you to rehash your past. They make emotions heavy and clinical. They keep people stuck in a victim mentality.
I wanted something different.
A tool that helps people learn their own emotional language. That shows them the mental models keeping them stuck. That puts them back in control of their choices and their life.

Part 1: Basic Training
Part 1 is on-demand. You can begin at anytime here.
Part 2: Professional Certification
Part 2 is 4, half-day live sessions.
Days and times for the sessions will depend on schedules of everyone who has registered.
Our next cohort is scheduled to begin at the end of February (days and times TBD).

You don’t!
If you’re only interested in learning how to build a sustainable Color Mending practice for yourself, Part #1 is perfect for you!
Please note: You must complete Part #1 in order to complete Part #2.
You will only receive a certification to work with individuals and groups by completing the requirements for both parts of the program.

Part #1 will take ~20 hours to complete all of the pre-work and course work. This takes most people 3-4 weeks.
If you’re interested in the professional certification (Part #2), you’ll also be required to complete 20 colorings on your own. You will have 3 months to complete these and can enroll in Part #2 before you’ve completed all of your colorings.
Professional License will take ~80 hours over the course of 1 year (you can complete it faster depending on how quickly you complete the post-instruction requirements).

No. The certification program is open to anyone who wants to help people understand emotions.
We welcome therapists, counselors, coaches, teachers, parents, and individuals who are interested in learning more about this tool.
The one requirement is: You MUST practice Color Mending within the scope of your credentials. For example, if you are not a licensed mental health professional you cannot diagnose or treat mental illnesses using Color Mending. -
Absolutely! Most people register for this course to learn a new tool they can integrate into what they already do.
With the Color Mending Therapy professional certification you can create your own programs and packages.

Yes! Once you have received your Color Mending Therapy professional license you can set your own pricing for the individual or group sessions you lead.

Professional certifications are only valid for 2 years.
To renew, you’ll need to repeat the Professional Certification weekend training at a discounted rate.

You can complete Part #1 of the professional certification at any time here.
The first Professional Certification cohort (Part #2) will begin at the end of February 2026.
The next Professional Certification will begin at the end of April 2026.
